Situational awareness for the canton of Vaud
How antaviOps condensed 320 parameters from 98 locations into a shared operating picture during the acute phase of the Covid-19 crisis.

Leading through a crisis means seeing it. In spring 2020 we supported the canton of Vaud in building a shared operating picture for the Covid-19 response — across hospitals, security teams, funeral services and supply chains.
The platform collected more than 320 parameters from 98 locations, continuously, 24/7. The result was a picture that made bottlenecks visible before they became bottlenecks.
“With this rapid operating picture we can identify critical locations earlier and accelerate our response in a targeted way.” — Denis Froidevaux, Head of EMCC
“The added value is manifold. Reporting times are noticeably shorter, data quality is markedly higher, standardised and accessible to all partners. With the antaviOps app we also bring people from outside our organisation on board to deliver data on critical public services.” — Yves Kohler, Head of Strategic Support, EMCC
Technically, antaviOps consists of an app for teams in the field and a situation cockpit for command. An API-based platform makes it possible to bring case-specific dashboards online — like the one for the Covid-19 crisis — within days.
